Hi, I’m Vern Fernandez, the owner of Vern’s Healthy Vending LLC. I am from the Monterey Bay, have lived in Santa Cruz since 1997 and am an ardent advocate of healthy vending.  I am married to my wife, Michelle, and we have four adult “kids” between the two of us.  I received my B.A. from Santa Clara University and a M.S. in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Colorado State University.

You’ve all seen the stats on increasing rates of childhood and adult obesity rates. The good news is that change is coming. Schools are providing more nutritious meals and more and more businesses are looking at healthy vending to their customers or as an addition to their Corporate Wellness Program. This is where I come in.

At Vern’s Healthy Vending, we bring a healthy vending option to businesses and facilities in Santa Cruz County. We can place our healthy vending machine next to traditional snack and drink machines or we can replace the junk food machines with our healthier option.
